Zimbabwe: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, (NO-2), Harare, Zimbabwe (Temporary Appointment up to 30 June 2018)

Organization: UN Children's Fund
Country: Zimbabwe
Closing date: 25 Sep 2017

UNICEF works in 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child. UNICEF has spent 70 years working to improve the lives of children and their families. Defending children’s rights throughout their lives requires a global presence, aiming to produce results and understand their effects. UNICEF believes all children have a right to survive, thrive and fulfill their potential – to the benefit of a better world. For every child, equality

UNICEF has been operating in Zimbabwe since 1982. We are a team of passionate professionals committed to the protection and fulfillment of children’s rights. We work closely with the Government of Zimbabwe, with whom we have signed a Basic Cooperation Agreement, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), sister agencies of the United Nations, and the private sector to deliver much-needed assistance to children and women.

The current UNICEF-Government of Zimbabwe Country Programme of Cooperation (2016-2020) aims to support Zimbabwe to sustain and build upon the gains achieved for children during the 2012-2015 Country Programme of Cooperation. The programme focuses on improving the quality of social services, increasing access to services, and helping to build national and sub-national capacities to provide low-cost, high-impact interventions for all children, especially the most vulnerable.
